booking the studio

do you require a deposit?
yes. an initial deposit of $100.00 is due at the time of reservation, $50.00 of which is nonrefundable.

what if I need to reschedule my session?
we understand the best plans usually change. we are happy to reschedule your session. we just ask that you let us know as far in advance as possible. just be aware another photographer may already have dibs on the day you require, so have several backup day options.

what if I need to cancel my session?
notice of cancellation must be made in writing or email at least  48 hours in advance of reservation date to receive a refund of $50.00.  no refund of deposit will be made with less than 48 hours notice.


renting the studio


what is included with the session rental?
unlike other photography studios, the use of all our profoto lighting kits, softboxes, and our backdrops are available to you at no extra charge.

do I have to sign a rental agreement?
yes, we have a rental agreement we ask all clients to sign. upon booking your session we will email you a copy to look over before you arrive at the studio. don’t worry, it’s written in plain english, short and upfront. You can also download a copy here link.

check-in

what time should I arrive?
arrive 30 minutes prior to the beginning of your photo session, and one of the juju crew will be there to meet you. we add this extra thirty minutes so it doesn’t eat into your shooting time.

equipment check
one of the crew will pull all the equipment you requested and test each piece with you to be sure it’s in top condition and working order.

can you bill me?
no sorry, your rental fee is due at the beginning of the session. the assistant collects the remaining balance of the fee and credit card information prior to your session.

will there be an assistant present during my shoot?
no. After you check-in we leave you to it. we trust you with our equipment and give you total control over your own shoot.

can I request a photo assistant?
yes! however, their fee is separate and not included in the rental fee. we have a number of experienced crew available for hire should you require assistance setting up and working the lights, or need help producing your shoot. we list their profiles and daily fees on the site, so you can choose the correct level of help at a rate that is right for you.

what if my session goes over the time limit?
if there is no session or event scheduled immediately after your session, you are free to continue your shoot, but a rate of $30 per hour will be in effect. the extra balance is calculated and due at the end of the session.


check-out

what is your check-out process?
a member of the juju crew will show up at the end of your session to check you out. they’ll do an inventory of all the equipment you requested and check to see the studio is in clean and good condition.

do I get extra time for breakdown and clean up?
we do not give extra time for breakdown and cleanup. it must be completed within your allotted session hours.
