bio
I am local to the Hill Country, having lived here over 15 years now after a 10 year stint in the Houston area for college as well as working in marketing and artist relations in the music industry. I love the music industry as I am a musician myself but unfortunately, the music industry doesn’t really exist to the same extent as it used to.
I have been shooting for over 15 years as well, having been inspired to pick up a camera after gazing through shoebox upon shoebox of my dad’s old travel and military photos. 35mm became my obsession at that early age, and I still shoot film to this day--about 25% of the time I have his old trusty 1960’s Canon securely in my hands.
I absolutely love what digital photography has done for photographers and it quickly catapulted me into concert photography which has since opened the doors to other types of photography I particularly enjoy: event and night life photography. As a student of Journalism (my major in college), I strive with every photo I take to capture an emotion, a feeling, a thought and at the same time--tell a story with that singular image. Photojournalism has not only improved my overall aesthetic as a photographer AND journalist, but also my passion for life and the events and moments that make up each person’s timeline on this World. I strive for that passion within every photo, every time.
